"the poems i write that i like are the ones that sort of tumble out of me quickly, without too much thought. i know that's supposed to be bad, and i'm supposed to think endlessly about the perfect word or phrase or iambic pentameter, but i can't be bothered. so my poetry will never be great. but it speaks what i need it to speak and for now that is more than enough. and i appreciate the great poets and no longer worry that i don't write like that."
